Disney’s Animal Kingdom has more new merchandise for the 30th anniversary of “The Lion King,” which was released in theaters on June 15, 1994. We found most of this merch in Island Mercantile.
“The Lion King” 30th Anniversary Merchandise
Deluxe Figurine Set – $29.99
This “new” deluxe figure set is actually identical to the old set, just in 30th anniversary packaging.
Both sets include figures of Scar, the hyenas, Mufasa and Zazu, young Simba, adult Simba, Rafiki with baby Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa.
Kitchen Towel – $19.99
The kitchen towel is yellow with African-inspired designs. There’s black fringe at the end.
There are two dashed embroidered white lines near the end around an orange stripe. The orange stripe is decorated with black pawprints and yellow designs.
Rafiki’s drawing of Simba with a mane is further up on the towel.
The black silhouette of Rafiki is on the other side of the towel.
He’s depicted holding his staff.
Sweatshirt – $54.99
This black sweatshirt features a printed image of Scar, Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.
“Disney’s The Lion King” is embroidered in white on the left breast.
T-Shirt – $34.99
This T-shirt is off-white with a light brown tie-dye pattern. On top of that subtle pattern are darker pawprints of various animals.
The title of the film is on the chest.
A dark brown stripe across the torso features the silhouettes of Rafiki, Simba, Zazu, Timon, and Pumbaa. There are patterned stripes below.
The tie-dye design is on the back, too.
T-Shirt – $29.99
This T-shirt is black. A rectangular design featuring the film’s title is on the chest. It has African-inspired patterns on the borders.
The center features a sunset-inspired red to yellow gradient. In black are the silhouettes of Simba, Nala, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa, a hyena, and Scar.
Pullover Hoodie – $59.99
This pullover hoodie is light gray. It has a large front pocket. Above the pocket is an embroidered image of Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon dancing across a log from the “Hakuna Matata” sequence.
The image has an embroidered black border. The film’s title is in white at the bottom of the image.
Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba are embroidered against the white moon.
Simba is depicted as an adult with his red mane.
Button-Up Shirt – $64.99
This shirt features a large printed image of the “Lion King” poster. Adult Simba takes up most of the shirt, with adult Nala pictured at the bottom. It has a collar, white buttons, and short sleeves.
Rafiki, Timon, and Pumbaa are pictured standing on Pride Rock.
The same image is on the back of the shirt.
Youth Hoodie – $39.99
The youth hoodie zips up between two pockets. It’s blue and white tie-dye.
Young Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon are on the left breast. “Disney The Lion King” is in white lettering above them.
The trio are pictured again on the back, lounging across the words “Friends Run Wild.” “Friends” is in white letters with stripes of diamond patterns to the sides.
“Run Wild” is made up of yellow letters with orange and white designs.
Two-Piece Baby Outfit – $34.99
This outfit includes a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. Both are yellow and feature an all-over pattern of character silhouttes.
The shorts have an elastic waistband.
Simba & Nala Plush Set – $39.99
This set includes two plush of young Simba and young Nala. Simba has more yellow coloring while Nala is a light tan color.
Simba is smirking with one of his orange eyes narrowed. Simba’s ears are outlined in black.
Nala has blue eyes and is winking her left. The details are embroidered.
Both have “The Lion King 30 Years” patches on their hindquarters.
The patches are black with red borders. Rafiki’s drawing of young Simba is in the sun-shaped zero of “30.” The lettering is yellow and orange.
Ear Headband – $34.99
These ears are made of pleather. They feature blue and red-orange stripe patterns. The headband has blue pleather on the outside and blue velour on the inside.
The front of the right ear reads “Hakuna Matata” in yellow lettering with black and orange designs. Zazu flies over the phrase.
Young Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon are printed on the front of the other ear.
The Minnie Mouse bow is covered in yellow beads.
There are no images on the backs of the ears but the pattern continues.
Celebration Crew Sweatshirt – $59.99
This Disney Celebration Crew sweatshirt features a horizontal yellow-to-orange gradient. The main characters of “The Lion King” are pictured on the center of the sweatshirt.
“Walt Disney World” is across the back of the shoulders.
Similar to Spirit Jerseys, the lettering is made of silicone that pops out of the sweatshirt.
Belt Bag – $29.99
This belt bag features the animated cast of “The Lion King” over a variety of black and gray triangular patterns.
The bag’s art includes (from left to right) Scar, Zazu, Nala, Mufasa, Simba, Pumbaa, Rafiki, and Timon.
The belt bag’s hardware is black. The zipper pull includes three white beads.
The waist strap is adjustable.
The inside of the bag is black and features a black mesh pocket.
Apron – $34.99
This apron is white with black triangular patterns all over. The Simba painting by Rafiki from “The Lion King” is included on the upper and lower portions of the apron.
The neck strap of the apron is white and adjustable.
The bottom of the apron has small white tassels.
A small Rafiki is embroidered along the waist tie.
The apron ties at the back with a white ribbon. It is one size only.
Mug – $19.99
This “The Lion King” 30th anniversary mug is brown with tan accents. It is covered in various patterns and art of characters from the film and grubs. It can contain up to 15 ounces, or 426 milliliters.
This middle section includes motifs of Timon, Pumbaa, Nala, Rafiki, Simba, and Zazu.
This side of the mug features art of Mufasa.
The inside of the mug is glazed a matte brown.
Tank Top – $21.99
This off-white tank top has the same character image from the Celebration Crew on the chest.
“Disney The Lion King” is on the back in small black letters.
The tank top was in World of Disney at Disney Springs.
Youth T-Shirt – $26.99
Spotted in Fantasy Faire at Magic Kingdom, this youth T-shirt is black and features a white outline of adult Simba roaring and showing his claws. The “Disney’s The Lion King” wordmark is printed in white on the left breast.
Other “The Lion King” 30th anniversary merchandise includes a musical figure, puzzle, Loungefly mini backpack, and Zazu shoulder plush.
