Harry Kane said Jude Bellingham's attempts to "put me off" taking a penalty in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final had failed. The Bayern Munich striker scored to make it 2-1 after his England team-mate was spotted "mumbling something" as he prepared to take his spot-kick. The game ended 2-2, leaving the tie beautifully poised ahead of the second leg.

Harry Kane says Jude Bellingham’s attempt to "put me off" failed as he scored from the penalty spot for Bayern Munich in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg.
As the England captain put the ball down on the spot in the second half, his international team-mate made a point of walking close to Kane and talking at him.
Asked about the incident by TNT Sports’ Jules Breach after the match, a smiling Kane said: I don’t know what he was saying. I saw him there mumbling something but I’ll have to ask him what he actually said.
“Once I’m in that moment I’m just kind of in my zone. I’m just trying to block everything out. I’m sure he was saying something to try and put me off but thankfully it was OK for me.”
Kane’s strike from 12 yards put Bayern 2-1 up on the night, only for Vinicius Junior to score a penalty of his own to leave the tie level going into next week’s second leg.
Despite proving not to be the winner, it was Kane’s 43rd goal in 43 appearances for Bayern this season.
He made the move to Germany last summer, after choosing to leave Tottenham.
“It’s been a good season so far but, like I always say, it’s about the next one, the next game and, of course, the big game next week away from home against Real Madrid," he continued.
“Everything we’re fighting for this year is in this competition so we’ve just got to find a way to get it done.
“It’s going to be tough, obviously, the Bernabeu, Real Madrid in the Champions League but we just got to go there with full belief."
Kane moved to the German club in pursuit of silverware, having failed to lift a trophy in his time at Spurs.
Asked if he needs to win the Champions League to justify his transfer, Kane said: “I’m here for many years. It’s not just a one-off year I’ve come.
“Of course, the expectation at the start of the year was to win trophies and it hasn’t gone our way in the Bundesliga and in the cup but the Champions League is the biggest one of them all.”
