West Ham want to sign rapid £17m attacker likened to Jack Grealish

West Ham United have a busy summer ahead of them, with a new manager potentially coming in to replace David Moyes.

The Hammers boss is out of contract in summer and there hasn’t been any serious indication that he’ll remain at the club after the end of the season.

In February, Moyes revealed that West Ham have offered him a new deal, but added that he was waiting until the end of the season before making a decision.

As per football.london, Moyes is expected to hold conversations with Hammers owner David Sullivan, but it’s widely anticipated that the club will seek a new direction.

The summer transfer window could see numerous incomings and outgoings as West Ham look to kick on next season and potentially reshape for any new manager who comes in.

Now, speculation has emerged linking the Hammers with a prolific attacking talent who has been likened to Jack Grealish.

According to CaughtOffside, West Ham have set their sights on Vitoria de Guimaraes forward Jota Silva.

The ‘lightning-quick left winger’ is also said to be a target for Premier League rivals Brighton and Fulham, plus Portuguese giants Benfica.

Vitoria are said to be after €20million for Silva, which works out at around £17million.

Who is West Ham target Jota Silva?

Born in Gondomar, a town near Porto, Silva began his football journey with the youth team of local club Sousense.

Silva went on to play for a number of clubs in Portugal before joining Vitoria from Casa Pia in the summer of 2022.

He has gone from strength to strength at Vitoria, and he has enjoyed a real breakout season this term, with 15 goals and seven assists to his belt.

In March this year, The Guardian interviewed Silva, where he spoke about his football journey so far.

The interview noted how the reported West Ham target has been likened to Jack Grealish and compatriot Diogo Jota.

“I can see a bit of myself in Diogo Jota’s style,” Silva said. “He is a great player.”

All in all, Silva looks like a good shout for West Ham, and for just £17million, he won’t break the bank.
