The latest Barside Buzz has some details on how Adamantium fits into the plot of Captain America: Brave New World. If we go back to some of the earliest leaks for this movie it was rumored that Adamantium makes its MCU debut. Seemingly the substance came initially from the now dead body of Celestial Tiamut. This begins an arms race which becomes the backbone of the movies plot.
Now MTTSH is claiming to have some more information to her subscribers. The leaker claims that in the MCU Adamantium has the properties to absorb forms of radiation. This would be useful in a lot of non-superhero ways to our world. However, no one cares about that in a Marvel movie. Instead, this ability Adamantium is said to be very effective in dealing with Hulk’s. Given the basis for Hulk powers is Gamma radiation, you can see the connection.

MTTSH claims that the first nation to learn how to turn the initially liquid Adamantium into metal is Japan. However, she also claims The Leader steals this technology, or the metal itself, from Japan. Add a few other known facts together, like Cap eventually fighting Ross’s Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) in the film, and you can kinda see where this is going.
Of course these are all just rumors and it’s not even confirmed that Adamantium appears in the movie. At this point, I seriously doubt this isn’t legit, but pinch of salt nonetheless. If this is legit information, then it is an interesting Macguffin to tie the threads together. Though, as always, you never know till your butt is sitting in theatres watching it.
