Pokemon and Breaking Bad collide in the “dumbest” way imaginable

People have compared Pokemon to actors and celebrities for years, but one player has come across what appears to be a double for a Breaking Bad character.

Spinda is a Pokemon with billions of variations of its signature swirls and sprites as its appearance is determined by personality value. The third-generation Pokemon is a fan favorite and was recently added to Pokemon Go.

The mon has returned to the limelight in the community thanks to one swirl combination that looks an awful lot like actor Jonathan Banks, who played Michael Ehrmantraut in AMC’s hit show, Breaking Bad.

The Spinda was showcased by X user Zack K, posting the encounter with the Pokemon in Renegade Platinum. They drove home the comparison by naming the caught mon “Waltuh,” referencing how Michael would refer to Breaking Bad’s protagonist Walter White.

“Found the dumbest Spinda patter of all time,” they said on social media.

Fans of both franchises have responded to the post. One social media user even quoted one of Michael’s iconic speeches from the show as if he was in one of the Pokemon titles.

“We had a good thing, you stupid son of a [Spinda Cry]! We had Skarmory! We had Route 113! We had everything we needed, and it all ran like Klingklang. You could’ve shut your mouth, Teeter Danced, and made as much Poke Dollars as you ever needed. It was perfect,” they said.

Pokemon players also asked the poster for the Spinda through PkHeX to save and use on their own, with one commenter happily obliging.

While not the first time Breaking Bad and Pokemon have crossed over via fan creations or memes, this is easily one of the more hilarious.
