It seems Giancarlo Esposito has been cast in a Marvel movie as the actor says we’ll see him in the MCU very soon. Esposito has been quite upfront booth about having talks with Marvel and that he wants a role. Mostly Esposito campaigned to be the new Professor X. However, since The X-Men film isn’t due to kick off till 2025 (at least), we doubt that’s the role he’s won. Esposito also indicated it was a different role from the one he publicly went after.
Speaking at CCXP (via Collider) Esposito teased crowds by saying he will appear in the MCU “sooner rather than later”. 
Esposito said he will be playing a different role than expected, and that it is “greater than we can imagine”.
So, what are the possibilities? Let’s look at what films this year. I get the feeling it is too late for Deadpool & Wolverine which just has a few reshoots before opening in July. However, we do have several Marvel films and shows in production this year. Fantastic Four is a distinct possibility. Esposito would be interesting as either Galactus or Doom. We also have the likes of Wonder Man which I may rule out as it’s been filming for a while. Captain America: Brave New World, which again I don’t see room for him in and it was reshoots that are filming this year.

We also have Avengers 5 set to begin in 2025. Blade will either start filming by the end of 24′ or start of 25′. We also possibly have the X-Men reboot by the end of 2025 (rumored). It could also be Thunderbolts* which is filming right now, though again I can’t think of an obvious role in that film.
It’s impossible to say, but I really like the idea of Esposito as the MCU Galactus. Not an evil character, but a force of nature, Galactus is a different villain that Esposito is known for.
