Judiciary sports president pledges transparency, inclusivity

The new president of the National Sports Association for Judiciary (NASAJ) Noah Sunday has promised to foster inclusivity by actively involving all members of the association.

The new president of the National Sports Association for Judiciary (NASAJ) Noah Sunday has promised to foster inclusivity by actively involving all members of the association.

NASAJ organises the Chief Justice of Nigerians (CJN) sporting events yearly across the states of the federation, including participants from both the states and federal judiciary arms.

The new president emphasised that the association will no longer be governed by the whims of any single individual, urging all organs of the association to come together to enhance its development.

The eight-man executive led by Noah Sunday was declared the winner of elections conducted by the Abubakar Abubakar-led electoral committee and accordingly sworn into office by a lawyer, Zainab Kazim.

Other Executive Committee members declared as winners by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, are the Vice President, Comr. Vincent Obasi; National Secretary General, Musa Akuyu; National Treasurer, Murtala Kusherki; National Welfare Officer, Akoji Adah; National Public Relations Officer, Sulieman Musa and the National Assistant Secretary General, Comr. Emmanuel J.

Others are National Assistant Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Baba and Financial Secretary, Boniface Okpe.

They promised to ensure that other of their members in various courts are carried along in handling issues.

The last CJN’s sports competition took place at Osogbo Osun state on October 28, 2023, which drew participants from across states and federal courts.
