JACKSON, Miss. | After a four-hour delay before the first pitch, Jackson State scored early and held on for a 13-8 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series win over Mississippi Valley State sweeping the series at Braddy Field on Monday night.

Jackson State (30-16, 13-11 SWAC) pounded out 18 hits in the win with six players picking up multiple hits led by
Myles White who finished 4-for-6 with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored, and
Shemar Harris (3-for-6) and
Robert Tate Jr. (3-for-5).
Jordan McCladdie,
Lenny Montesano, and
Arjun Huerta each picked up a pair of hits.

Isaiah Williams (5-3) picked up the win for the Tigers working 6.0 innings and allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits with eight strikeouts.
CJ Lewis and
Christian Womble combined to pitch the final three innings in relief.

- (T1) White drove in a run with an RBI groundout before Jaelen Williams singled to short to drive in another, Jackson State 2-0.
- (T2) Huerta singled to left followed by a Rodney Hibler Jr. fielder's choice before Montesano singled in another run, Jackson State 5-0.
- (B2) Devon Mims drove in a run with an RBI groundout, Jackson State 5-1.
- (T3) Huerta singled to left for another RBI, Jackson State 6-1.
- (B3) The Delta Devils used an RBI single to chip away at the lead, Jackson State 6-2.
- (T4) Montesano connected on his second home run of the series, Jackson State 8-2.
- (B4) A sacrifice fly led to another Delta Devils run, Jackson State 8-3.
- (B5) MVSU used a solo home run to cut the deficit in half, Jackson State 8-4.
- (T6) White tripled and scored on a throwing error, Jackson State 9-4.
- (B7) MVSU used a wild pitch, a throwing error, and an RBI single to pull to within a run, Jackson State 9-8.
- (T8) Harris scored on a wild pitch, Jackson State 10-8.
- (T9) White used an infield single to drive in a run followed by an infield single by Ledy Alvarez, and a single to left by Sebastian Cabeza, Jackson State 13-8.
