BRISTOL, Conn. -- Graduate student defensive midfielder Beau Pederson and senior Michael Boehm of the University of Michigan men's lacrosse team were selected in the 2024 Premier Lacrosse League Draft on Tuesday night (May 9).

Pederson was chosen in second round (13th overall) by the Utah Archers, while Boehm went in the fourth round (31st overall) to the Philadelphia Waterdogs.

Pederson, a consensus preseason All-American and second-team All-Big Ten selection, has starred as one of the top defensive midfielders in the country. He has totaled four goals and two assists (six points) on 18 shots. Defensively, he has totaled 24 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers.

Boehm -- the program's all-time leading scorer -- recently took home Big Ten Tournament MVP for the second straight season and ranks second on the team in goals (33), assists (30) and points (63). He also became the first player in U-M history to reach 100 career assists earlier this season.

Former Wolverine Josh Zawada (2019-23) also was selected by the Denver Outlaws in the third round (19th overall).

The selections mark the third, fourth, and fifth Wolverines to be selected in the PLL draft, joining Nick Rowlett (2023) and Brent Noseworthy (2019). The trio also represents the eighth, ninth, and 10th players to be drafted by professional outdoor lacrosse franchises.
