VideoGarza explains how UTRGV’s Office of Workforce and Economic Development can help small businesses

ELSA, Texas – Ron Garza, associate vice president for workforce and economic development for UT-Rio Grande Valley, recently spoke at an event in Elsa, Texas.

The event coincided with National Small Business Week and the signing of an agreement between Elsa Economic Development Corporation and UTRGV. The agreement will see the university open a satellite center within the offices of Elsa EDC.

In his remarks, Garza spoke in depth about the services provided to small businesses by his department. And he asked some of his department heads to speak. These included Sai Mullapudi, a business economic research associate, Blanca Davila from the Office of Professional Education and Workforce Development, Maria D. Juarez-Serna, from the Small Business Development Center, and Maria Julia Villalon, an economic development marketing and research coordinator.
