Tottenham have decided what they are likely to do with Alejo Veliz next season

Tottenham Hotspur have decided what they are likely to do with Alejo Veliz next season, according to a recent report.

The North Londoners outlaid £13m on the signature of Alejo Veliz last summer and after limited game time, he was shipped out on loan to LaLiga giants Sevilla during the winter transfer window.

The 2003-born striker has endured a tough time in Spain and has made just four appearances, all of which have come from the bench.

He is yet to score for Sevilla and it has now come to light what Spurs will do with him next season.

Tottenham Hotspur plan to loan Alejo Veliz again

Veliz is clearly talented but remains raw and that is to be expected in his first season playing European football.

The former Rosario Central man is evidently still in his adaptation phase and it appears Tottenham feel he’s best off developing elsewhere rather than with the under-21s next term.

That’s according to The Times, who claim the club are planning on sending him out on loan again next season.

Alejo Veliz should stay in the Premier League

Ideally, Tottenham should place great emphasis on securing Veliz a loan to a fellow Premier League club, as it’d aid his adaption to the tempo of English football.

If that’s not possible, a Championship loan could do him the world of good, too, as evinced by Fabio Carvalho, who enjoyed a productive spell at Hull City from Liverpool.

Following his 11-goal haul for Rosario Central last term, and his respectable return at youth level for Argentina, he likely won’t be short of suitors in the second tier and perhaps even sides towards the lower end of the top-flight.
