Baby Reindeer is entering its third week among Netflix‘s Top 10 TV shows, meaning many subscribers have become well acquainted with Richard Gadd‘s eccentric stalker, who goes by the name Martha in the series. Now, thanks to Piers Morgan, we’re likely to hear more about the show’s real-life roots.
The woman who claims to have inspired Martha recently came forward to set the record straight and deny Gadd’s telling of events. Fiona Harvey, a Scottish lawyer, revealed her identity to The Daily Record after Baby Reindeer‘s success — and now, she’s joining Morgan on Piers Uncensored for her first-ever television interview.
Harvey previously told The Daily Record, “None of this happened. It’s a load of rubbish,” and maintained that she is still deciding whether to sue Gadd and Netflix for defamation.
“This is all made up and hyperbole. There are no restraining orders, injunctions or interdicts anywhere. There’s just no way. I’ve not had the police at my door about any of these things,” she continued. “It’s a load of rubbish. I don’t have any money but I’m a perfectly capable lawyer so I will represent myself.”
