DALLAS (SMU)-- SMU volleyball and third-year head coach Sam Erger unveiled the 2024 schedule. The 2024 season will mark SMU's inaugural season competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). 

The reigning American Athletic Conference Champions 11-match nonconference gauntlet features eight teams who made the 2023 NCAA Tournament, including four teams who made at least the Sweet 16, highlighted by National Runner-Up Nebraska visiting Moody Coliseum on Tuesday, Sept. 3. 

The Mustangs will host UW-Milwaukee, Weber State, and Loyola Marymount in the first of two tournaments in Moody Coliseum on Sept. 5-7. Kentucky, Purdue, and Houston highlight the second tournament in Dallas on Sept. 13-14. The Mustangs will drive down I-35 to face Baylor in a midweek matchup on Sept. 10. SMU opens the season with a trip to face Hawaii and San Diego on the campus of Hawaii and close out non-conference play with back-to-back road matchups at Northern Iowa. 

SMU's first season in the ACC begins with five straight road matchups, starting with Georgia Tech (9/27), and followed by matches at Clemson (9/29), Syracuse (10/4), Boston College (10/6), and Pitt (10/9).

SMU opens ACC play in Moody Coliseum with a five-game homestand starting with Pitt on Oct. 12. Next, SMU hosts Stanford (10/18), Cal (10/20), Notre Dame (10/25), and Louisville (10/27).

The Mustangs start November with a trip to Virginia, where they will face Virginia Tech on Nov. 1 and Virginia on Nov. 3. 

SMU welcomes Duke (11/8), North Carolina (11/10), Miami (11/15), and Florida State (11/17) to Moody Coliseum for weekend matchups. 

The Mustangs wind down conference play with three straight road games, starting with a match at NC State on Nov. 22 and Wake Forest two days later. SMU's last road match will be played at FSU on Nov. 27 before returning home for the regular-season finale against NC State in Dallas.
