UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track and field team is set for competition at the 2024 Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The conference meet is slated to run May 10-12 at U-M Track and Field Stadium.

Head Coach John Gondak's Nittany Lions enter Big Ten Championship competition following a solid performance at their regular season finale. Penn State set four top-ten program marks at the Jim Thorpe Invitational, and its women's team enters the championships with 19 marks ranked in the top eight in the conference this season while the men's team has amassed 15 top-eight marks of its own.
 
Penn State's group seeks to replicate its success from indoor season on the outdoor oval. Penn State's women's team finished as the conferece's runner-up while the men placed third at the Big Ten Indoor Championships. Star sprinter Cheickna Traore, a two-time indoor All-American, is set to lead the Nittany Lion men while middle-distance standout Hayley Kitching, a two-time Big Ten champ herself, is set to front the women's team.
