Have you ever looked at a photo of Travis Kelce wearing his civilian clothes and thought, That outfit is a little goofy? It turns out that might be the point. At least, that’s according to his mother, Donna Kelce, who said as much on The Martha Stewart Podcast this week.
Mama Kelce was asked by Stewart to describe both of her sons. She said that Jason was “very tenacious” with a “good work ethic.” When she started on Travis, the first word out of her mouth was “fashionista.” She also said that he was “very generous” with a “good heart,” but that’s not what we’re focusing on today.
“He cares about image and what he looks like, but not so much to be perfect. It’s more to put a smile on people’s faces,” Donna explained. “He’ll dress the way he needs to, but most of the time he’s doing it to make people laugh or to talk.” This prompted Stewart to ask if Travis was a show-off, to which Donna quickly replied, “Yes!”
Well, this is all starting to make sense. I was wondering why Travis recently showed up at the Kentucky Derby dressed like an ensemble member in a well-funded high-school production of Guys and Dolls.
Turns out he might just be having a laugh. Touché, my man.
