George Miller Asked About Doing “Thor 5”

Marvel

Like a good portion of the world’s population, “Mad Max” and “Happy Feet” filmmaker George Miller is a fan of fellow Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth – enough that he’d potentially follow him to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The pair have just worked together on “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” with Hemsworth dubbing it the most enjoyable filming experience he’s had in years and praising Miller to high heaven.

The feeling’s mutual on Miller’s part with Comicbook.com asking the master filmmaker if he’d consider teaming up on one of Hemsworth’s other projects – such as a potential fifth “Thor” film.

Miller’s response has sent the MCU fanboys into a tizzy:

“I would work with Chris on anything. I really would. He’s a wonderful actor. He’s got the full range of all the skills. I mean, you’ve got to be athletic, physically. But, you also gotta be athletic emotionally and intellectually to take on these very, ultimately fairly complex, any role really.”

Miller was famously set to do a “Justice League” movie back in the late 2000s with that project having cast numerous roles and going so far as costume testing before the plug was pulled. Since then he’s done several films but hasn’t touched the superhero genre again after that failed effort.

Nonetheless, with the “Thor” franchise in such a creative rut that even Hemsworth himself has acknowledged the various problems of “Thor: Love and Thunder,” landing Miller for such a gig would be a big coup for Disney.
