GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida soccer adds midfielder Kaela Standish to the 2024 Gator roster. Standish joins the Gators as a junior after playing her first two seasons with the Utah Utes.
 
"We couldn't be happier to add Kaela to our team. She brings two years of experience and versatility that we expect to help us right away," Florida Head Coach Samantha Bohon said. "Her positive energy and enthusiasm will be a fantastic fit on and off the field. I'm excited to see her in the Orange and Blue this fall."
 
Standish is the sixth newcomer to join the Gators for the 2024 season. UF signed four freshmen last November and added Arkansas grad transfer Emilee Hauser in December.

• Started 18 of 27 appearances in two seasons with Utah, which includes playing in 19 of 20 matches as a sophomore (69.7 minutes per match in 2023).
• Scored three goals, including a pair in 2023 (vs Oregon St 10-9-22, vs Utah Valley 8-30-23, vs Colorado 11-3-23)
• Played the entirety of 11 of final 12 matches of 2023 season. Appeared in each of Utah's five 2023 shutouts.
• 2023 College Sports Communications Academic All-District
• Earned spot on 2023 Pac-12 Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

 
High School:

• East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) first team as a senior
• Monte Vista High School won 2020 North Coast Section (NCS), CIF Division 1 team title
• First-team ECNL Northwest All-Conference for U17 and U18/19 playing with Mustang SC
• NCS CIF Scholar Athlete
