Any court trying me is committing terrorism - Nnamdi Kanu

Any court trying me is committing terrorism - Nnamdi Kanu

The embattled leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, says he cannot be tried in Nigeria because ‘’according to the Nigerian constitution, any court that tries him is committing an act of terrorism.''

He claimed that any attempt to put him on trial, would amount to a breach of the Terrorism Prohibition and Prevention Act and and international laws.

Kanu stated this after Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court this morning May 20 dismissed his fresh bail application as well as his request to be moved from the DSS custody to House arrest.

A visibly angry Kanu told the court that he could not be tried in Nigeria because the Supreme Court had declared his forceful rendition from Kenya as an act of illegality. He insisted that the Supreme Court had made a pronouncement on his issue, stressing that “Anything you do on the contrary is an act of terrorism''.

He quoted Section 2, Subsection 3(f) of the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, which he claims labels anyone or any court attempting to try him as a terrorist.

“Terrorism Prohibition and Prevention Act said that I cannot be tried in Nigeria, that is the law of Nigeria. I can never be tried in any court of law in Nigeria. That is what the law says. Anyone standing on trial or coming to try me is a terrorist. That is what the law says, not me. Section 2, Subsection 3 F of the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, that is what it says. Any court continuing to try me is committing an act of terrorism.” he said

De Nnamdi is my brother and I love him. I can tell you this...this mannerisms and way he speaks to his elders and people in authority are main reasons why he is still held - no single respect. He is still in detention wearing the same dress up and down, making noise as if he has any authority. Honestly, he has made us worse off before he started this journey. He had a good course, but ran very badly. Let him take time...Abiola and Abacha died and heaven did not fall.

MNK is even more sound than his charge and bail lawyers. His Lawyers really messed up the case and it's too late. I am glad he is still sounding strong 🙏.

This guy is still donning his arrogant and unrepentant hat,m. A non Lawyer quoting the Law before a judge. I hope all your so called elders begging for your release are listening to your baloney. You will rot in that DSS detention center. You're lucky you're not sent to Kuje Prison. I hope that 'designer' wear you wear to court every time, lasts you through your time in detention. Look at his head like a yet to be properly moulded Akpu. Bloody Nuisance. Igbos will survive without the mess you and Simon Ekpa have turned the SE Region to.

Cowardice in Nigeria limits the chances of your descendants. The descendants of Fela Kuti enjoy the seeds of courage he planted years ago. What will your grandchild enjoy when you are gone?.

You're not only delusional, but you're a complete ignoramus. Imagine this idiotic Obidiot comparing the animal called MNK with Nelson Mandela a world revered late world citizen. You ignorant Igbos really think very highly of your crude and dubious selves. Nigeria and its citizens would rather agree to stop existing as a sovereign nation, than beg your deranged and unhinged Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa or any other idiot that might arise to wage a war against a Sovereign Nigeria, after Kanu and Ekpa must have been severely dealt with and have become history. Nigeria will not cease to exist because of Igbos.

Still making noise? So the judge is now a terrorist for doing her job? Meanwhile you that ordered your brainwashed loyalists to sacrifice their lives and slaughter thousands of their own brothers and sisters in cold blood as well as ordered destruction of their property worth billions of naira, you're not a terrorist? You called Buhari a cow and a clone. Threatened to kill him along with other fulanis during your senseless and treasonable Radio Biafra broadcast. But now a Yoruba man is president and he recognizes the extreme danger you pose to the whole country and has decided to keep you locked up until you regain your sanity. You have a very long road to travel before you regain your freedom, if you ever do.

@Anonymous, we 'agree', you're not cowards, but you're the most dubious, obnoxious and morally bankrupt tribe that have ever existed on the face of the earth. Everything about you is crooked and your actions are always unethical. .
