Bayern Munich star Harry Kane snubbed three Manchester United legends after naming his favourite striker, despite hesitating for a moment on one former player.

The 30-year-old England captain has impressed during his first season in Germany after he left Tottenham and signed for Bayern Munich last summer.

Harry Kane was heavily linked with Manchester United in 2023, but he ultimately signed for Bayern Munich for an initial fee believed to be £82m.

The former Tottenham striker has settled into life well in Germany and Kane has been in scintillating form for the Bundesliga side.

Kane scored an impressive 36 times in 32 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern, with the ex-Spurs star finding the back of the net eight times in the Champions League.

Despite his stunning form for Bayern, the Three Lions skipper ended his debut season in Germany without any major silverware.

Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern’s Bundesliga title dominance and scooped the trophy without suffering a single defeat in the league.

Bayern also made their exit from the Champions League earlier this month after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the second leg of the semi-finals.

Kane talks two Man Utd legends

Speaking to Goal, Harry Kane took part in a series of challenges and named one Manchester United star when building his ‘scariest’ defender of all time.

The Bayern Munich star selected one United legend as the best finisher of all time, while on another occasion he picked a current Red Devils player for his ‘scary factor.’

For this occasion, however, Kane played the ‘winner stays on’ and the England international was faced with a tough question from the offset.

Kane was presented with United legend Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazil legend Ronaldo, with the former Tottenham star backing the latter.

“If we are going with strikers, I am going to have to say ‘R9,’” he said.

Following on from Cristiano Ronaldo in the opening of the segment, another United legend popped up in the form of Wayne Rooney.

However, Kane did not hesitate for a moment as he snubbed ex-England teammate Rooney and backed former Real Madrid and Barcelona star Ronaldo.

Kane then stuck with Ronaldo and chose the 47-year-old ex-Brazil striker ahead of the likes of Didier Drogba, Luis Suarez and Andriy Shevchenko.

Kane pauses on Man Utd legend vs Ronaldo

While Kane stuck with Brazilian Ronaldo ahead of United legends Ronaldo and Rooney, he paused when Red Devils hero Ruud van Nistelrooy popped up.

Kane sighed over the tough choice and opened up about his admiration for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was a fan favourite during his spell at Old Trafford.

“Loved Van Nistelrooy growing up, but ‘R9,’” he said.

Kane continued to stick with Ronaldo until the very end and dismissed several other legendary strikers coming up against him, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Three Lions star’s last choice was none other than himself or two-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo, with Kane unsurprisingly snubbing himself.
