Enzo Maresca’s side started the game in sixth, knowing a win was vital to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
And the Blues found the eventual winner midway through the first half as Jackson fired superbly past Jordan Pickford for his first goal since January.
Noni Madueke saw a pair of efforts well saved by Pickford as Chelsea looked to double their lead, but Robert Sanchez was also called upon to keep the hosts in front.

And he came to Chelsea’s rescue again later on, showing supreme impressive agility to get down to his left and deny Dwight McNeil’s effort.
Victory for Chelsea stretches their unbeaten run to five games in the league as they now turn their attention to Thursday’s Conference League semi-final first leg against Djurgarden.
