In a debate Munira held in Parliament, Munira called for vital children’s cancer services to remain at St George’s rather than be transferred to the Evelina, and raised crucial questions about the transparency of the decision.
To mark Children’s Mental Health Week, Munira reiterated her call to place a dedicated mental health practitioner in every school, following a bill she presented in Parliament last month.
In a positive move for the campaign to preserve the playing fields for community sport, Munira secured the Minister’s commitment to raise the issue with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
With schools saying they are at “breaking point” over squeezed budgets, Munira joined School Governors to request an urgent meeting with Education Secretary Gillian Keegan.
