Myfest

MyFest 2014

The "Myfest" has a long tradition in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The popular festival was canceled again in 2024.

The festival is intended to counteract the May Day riots by replacing violence with peaceful celebration in the neighborhoods around Kottbusser Tor, Heinrichplatz and Oranienstraße. The increasingly peaceful course of May Day celebrations in Kreuzberg since 2003 is attributed by the police, politicians and residents primarily to the "Myfest".
