Police: Drink-driving on the rise in Slovakia

The police have recorded a dramatic increase in drink-driving in Slovakia, as the police detected alcohol on the breath of 8,068 drivers in the first nine months of 2022, the highest figure in the same period since 2015, Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO) reported at a press conference on Thursday. Because of this, the ministry has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence.
