Conor McGregor sent Dana White an eight-word text message as he wants to make a Croke Park fight happen.

Katie Taylor is likely to fight in Croke Park later this year and McGregor says he wants to follow suit.

The Dubliner was speaking to Ariel Helwani and said he had a text exchange with Dana White, telling the UFC boss to make a Croke Park fight happen.

McGregor was speaking about sponsoring Katie Taylor's May bout and said his own Croke Park dream is still alive.

Speaking on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, he said: "I actually messaged Dana because Dana said where myself and (Michael) Chandler are going to fight. I don't know yet, possibly Las Vegas possibly New York possibly Texas and he said also possibly a stadium in London.

"When I saw these types of options I said 'so we're fighting in Croke Park, are we? So we're doing the Stadium show in Croke Park? Lovely, it's time".

"You can put me on any time of the day and it's going to generate. It's still up in the air, you never know. I'm sure it will happen at some stage I'll do it".
