UFC President Dana White has suggested that Conor McGregor's return bout could take place at the 100,000 seater AT&T Stadium.

The gigantic venue is home to the Dallas Cowboys and has long been mooted as a potential staging place for a UFC mega fight.

Speaking to the Sports Business Journal, White confirmed the stadium is in the running to hold McGregor's comeback fight.

"You can do the Cowboys' stadium, Madison Square Garden, obviously Vegas," said White.

"We’re looking at all the different options.”

With a regular capacity of 80,000 which can be extended to 105,000, the stadium is one of the biggest in the World and has hosted massive sporting events such as Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's World title bout with Billy Joe Saunders and has held WWE's 'Wrestlemania' on two occasions.

It would be a fitting venue for McGregor's long-awaited return to the sport. The Irishman has been out of action since suffering a horrific leg break in defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

After almost two years of recovery, McGregor was announced to be fighting Michael Chandler later this year with the pair also coaching against each other on the newest season of 'The Ultimate Fighter' which airs in the coming months.

While progress appears to be made on where the fight will take place, the when is still shrouded in mystery.

Initial reports suggested that McGregor had to re-enter the USADA anti-doping testing pool for six months before he was allowed to fight again.

However, McGregor refuted this in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, telling the MMA Hour host that he only needed to provide two clean tests before he could fight again.

If McGregor has to re-enter the pool for six months, then September would be the earliest that he can fight.
