﴿الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ... ﴾

"Those to whom We have given the Book recite and follow it as it should be recited and followed; they have faith in it" (Quran 2:121).

Reciting the Quran is necessary and is the prerequisite to believing in revelation. Reciting the Quran is not just something to be done for entertainment. Listening to the Quran prepares one to receive divine mercy, and it is one of the most important factors for acquainting a person with divine mercy.
