Jhon Durán marked his first start for Colombia in style as he netted his maiden senior international goal in a 2-1 triumph over Japan on Tuesday.

The Aston Villa striker levelled the friendly fixture in the 33rd minute in Osaka to register his first goal for his country in what was his fifth outing, having previously appeared off the bench.

Durán received a left-wing cross and swept home left-footed into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.

His run and touch into the box also played a key role in Colombia's winning goal in the second half, before making way with 83 minutes on the clock to cap an impressive full international debut.

Congratulations, Jhon!
