UP Board Exams 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will declare the results of Classes 1 to 8 today (March 31). The UP Board exams for Classes 1 to 8 were conducted between March 20 and 24, and the evaluation work commenced on March 26. Once released, candidates will be able to check their score at the official website of UPMSP — upmsp.edu.in.

However, the students will be promoted to the next higher class even if they don’t pass the exams, said a notification released by the Secretary, Basic Education Council. Students of all council schools and recognised schools run under the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council will be given admission to the next class as per the rules. This order is in accordance with the same RTE Act.

Additionally, the board has instructed authorities to distribute report cards of students on the basis of annual examinations and evaluations. The marks will be given by converting the full marks and marks relative to 100 marks. Also, the evaluated answer sheets of the students will be shown to the students and guardians and report cards will also be provided at the same time.

Meanwhile, students of Class 10 and 12 are still awaiting information about their board exam results for the 2023 session. Currently, a total of 3.19 answer sheets are being evaluated, of which evaluation work of 1,67,20,732 answer booklets has been completed, media reports suggest.

According to the data released by the UP Board, this year, about 58,85,745 candidates have registered for the high school and intermediate examinations of the UP board, of which there are 31,16, 487 high school candidates and 27,69,258 intermediate candidates.

This year, the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the board to appoint Static Magistrates and Sector Magistrates who were asked to report daily proceedings to the District Inspector of Schools along with the District Magistrate. Additionally, a separate room was also made apart from the Principal’s room for strict monitoring of the exam papers.
