Leicester City headlines on Saturday, April 1.

Brendan Rodgers admission

Brendan Rodgers has again urged Leicester City supporters to get behind the team and help propel their survival bid, regardless of their opinion of him.

The City boss has been subjected to chants and banners calling for him to be sacked on a number of occasions this season, including after the last game, the 1-1 draw at Brentford. City begin their run-in on Saturday at Crystal Palace (3pm kick-off), starting the final two months of the season just a point above the drop zone.

It is not a position they were expected to be in before the season, and Rodgers admitted the campaign had been a “tough gig” for fans. But he wants them to show support for the players and give them the energy to get the results that can secure their Premier League status.

Predicted line-up

Daniel Iversen will make his second Premier League appearance for Leicester City at Crystal Palace after Brendan Rodgers confirmed he is sticking with the Danish goalkeeper.

Iversen made his league debut for City in the 1-1 draw at Brentford last time out and Rodgers said after the match that he would get a run of games to impress. That plan has not changed over the course of the international break.

Changing goalkeepers was a significant decision for Rodgers after keeping faith in Danny Ward for so long, the Welshman struggling at the start of the season and in recent months. City have not kept a Premier League clean sheet in November.

Youri Tielemans update

Youri Tielemans may only have a handful of games left in the season – and in his Leicester City career – when he returns from injury, following a setback in his recovery.

The Belgian midfielder damaged ankle ligaments at the end of February and while he had been making good progress, an inflammation means he has been told to rest for a few weeks. By the time he is back in training and up to speed, there may only be a few games left in the campaign.

That is significant for the club’s battle against relegation, but also for Tielemans’ career at the King Power Stadium. He is out of contract in the summer and City’s attempts to renew his deal have been futile, with the 25-year-old expected to leave in search of Champions League football.

Agents fees revealed

Leicester City have spent more than £10m on agents fee over the past year, Football Association figures show, but that number is down on spending in the previous 12 months.

The FA published the latest set of agents fees on Friday afternoon, and with City’s transfer activity reduced over the past two windows, and with only a couple of new contracts handed out, the fees they paid to intermediaries also decreased.

City spent £10.3m from February last year to the end of January this year, down slightly from the £12m they spent in the previous 12 months.
