Leicestershire is set for another week of sunny weather, with temperatures set to rise even higher by next weekend. Latest forecasts show that the first full week of June will remain warm across the county, but some cloud might keep things a little cooler than many desire.

The newest information from the Met Office shows that the week ahead from Monday, June 5, will see a continuation of sunny weather mixed in with some cloud. However, things will start very overcast for the beginning of the new week, but will slowly change to a sunnier outlook, peaking at 19C at around 4pm on Monday.

The Met Office predicts a slightly cooler Tuesday (June 6) and Wednesday (June 7) though. Tuesday’s temperatures will be dragged down by heavier clouds, holding back the mercury for many and leaving the picture a bit bleak till about midday.

It is a similar picture for Wednesday according to the forecast, but it will be on the whole a much sunnier day. Temperatures for both days are expected to peak at around 17C, but it may feel much cooler in the cloud.

That overcast feeling then continues into Thursday (June 8), with heavy cloud expected in the morning. That then starts to clear away as the day continues but once again temperatures may be limited by cloud cover. The Met Office says the peak could be 18C in the sun.

However, the sun is expected to triumph over the cloud as the weekend arrives, with Friday, June 9, seeing the beginning of much warmer weather. Here, latest predictions believe that the day will start off cloudy but clear away and reach highs of 20C as the sun breaks through.

That high is expected to be beaten next Saturday (June 10), when the Met Office is saying temperatures of 23C are likely. Forecasts suggest temperatures will not dip below double digits all day and will hit the 20C mark by midday and rising after that. More of the same is expected for Sunday, June 11, with 25C possible.
