Leicester City supporters have been giving their reaction to reports that Steven Gerrard could be the club's next manager.

The former Rangers and Aston Villa boss has been linked with a move to King Power Stadium, with Championship rivals Leeds United also said to be interested in securing the 43-year-old's services.

At best, supporters would "not mind" the appointment, though don't think it would be the best option. A lot of others are adamant that the club should not be hiring the former Liverpool and England midfielder.

Below is a look at what City supporters have been saying on social media...

@BadOther : I'm not sure he's the guy. He was reliant on his no2 at both Rangers and Villa.

@Soldunseen1 : I wouldn't mind him. He's had one crack at Premier League and failed admittedly but we are not going to get a manager who hasn't failed somewhere along the line. Not my first choice but like I said I wouldn't mind.

@Wayne11131358 : Like Lampard. A world class midfielder, but naff at management. No way!

@Bedfordfoxajb : This is going down well then. Another yes man whose managerial career can be judged on 2 levels. With Michael Beale as his no2 excellent. Without absolutely dreadful. Why are we even considering this?

@TO_Foxes : Why? Haven’t we learned anything? We need annoyingly loud and passionate manager invested in winning ways. No more polite managers strolling the sidelines.

@supersouttar : Not on my watch is this happening.

@marshalfoxlcfc : Rebuild's going well then.

@foxe_23 : Gerrard’s agent is getting some work done.

@lcfcwaggy : Now unfortunately this is 100% something that I can see happening. Potter won't drop down to Championship and I don't see us paying compensation to get a new boss, so that would rule out McKenna, Carrick etc.

Who should City's next manager be? Let us know in the comments.
