Pictures as Leicester's Riverside Festival welcomes thousands in perfect weather
There was plenty on offer for young and old
Huge crowds have flocked to Leicester in brilliantly sunny weather for 2023’s Riverside Festival. Spread over four areas of the city this weekend, a whole host of events have been taking place both on and off the water.
The Mile Straight of the River Soar has seen thousands of visitors enjoying the festivities and a host of activities designed for young and old while soaking up the sunshine. There were many forms of transport on the city’s waterway, while neighbouring Bede Park welcomed in many with its funfair and other attractions.
A series of performances on stages big and small from music acts and performers also delighted the crowds. The festival began yesterday, and concludes today. Pictures by Lee Garrett and Beth Walsh.
