Leeds is in for a mixed day of weather on Wednesday. The morning will be cloudy, with isolated showers happening frequently. This will continue until sunrise.

Thereafter, it will just be overcast with very little drizzle if any at all. But the dark clouds will linger until 12 noon.

Then the situation will change. Sunny spells are expected from 3pm onwards, until around 8pm. The sun will also set quite late, at 9.32pm.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Cloudy to start, then cloud clearing back to the coast through the day. Low cloud perhaps less extensive than Tuesday in the afternoon, with more sunshine as a result. Warmer. Maximum temperature 17 °C."

Mid-range forecasts till the weekend also expect more warm weather. The Met Office said: "Conditions largely unchanged, with low cloud spreading inland overnight before retreating towards the coast during the afternoon. Warmer on Saturday, with a good deal of sunshine for most."
