A long cast of characters past has paraded through the Duke of Sussex’s testimony in his High Court phone-hacking trial.
But one, his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, has taken centre stage, with 118 mentions in his witness statement alone, as the duke explained how press attention dogged their seven-year relationship, and eventually drove them apart.
In the mid-noughties, when many of the events described in the trial took place, pictures of the young Zimbabwean, who is now 37, graced the pages of tabloid newspapers almost every day.
