A Blantyre man took on a gruelling 22-mile charity walk in Edinburgh to raise funds for a Lanarkshire charity.

The Kiltwalk is Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event and a record-breaking 7,000 Kiltwalk Heroes including James Brown stepped out on Sunday, September 17 to raise money for over 700 Scottish charities.

James rose to the challenge in aid of The Haven, which has a centre in his home town, as well as others in Wishaw and Forth.

The charity is dedicated to providing emotional, mental and wellbeing support for individuals, families and carers affected by a life-limiting illness and bereavement.

James aimed to help make a difference to the lives of those going through difficult times.
