Married at First Sight UK star was forced to spend the day after filming left him "drained". The Channel 4 social experiment star, who is one of the shiw's experts, told the Daily Star he needs to "re-energise" when filming for the E4 series, which is airing at 9pm each night, wraps.

"The beauty is we each do this in our real lives. It's part of the function. The biggest difference is we don't have 12 hours worth of clients back to back to back so because of that it becomes very fatiguing to be part of this project," he said. "The next day I literally have to block off my day and just lie in bed and I try to re-energise myself because I'm drained."


It comes after the MAFS star moved to clear up fans' questions over the authenticity of the show. Viewers questioned the authenticity and legitimacy of the chats. One asked: "Why are the families acting shocked like they didn’t just invite the Married at First Sight crew and camera people into their homes #MAFSUK?"

Paul replied in a tweet: “This is a popular question. The families know a TV crew has arrived but do not know what show it’s for. Therefore, the surprise is authentic. #MAFSUK.” Speaking about the 2023 contestants, Paul said: "I feel like this is the smartest group we've ever had.

"I have to speak my truth because they are very opinionated and confident in who they are." At 36 episodes, this will be the largest series to date and the show’s longest ever run. The couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake.

After the ceremony and celebrations are over, true love is well and truly put to the test, as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, before moving in with each other AND their fellow couples.
