David and Victoria met at a soccer match in 1997 and wed two years later. Speaking to camera, Victoria shares: "The fact I went to the games really was just to kind of...some would say "stalk" him. I would say "see" him. When I saw him in the footballers lounge, all the other footballers were at the bar but he was standing talking to his parents.
"And I'm very close to my family, and I loved that side to him." Daren says: "That first time that I speak to her, I just fancied her." Posh Spice said: "I just fancied him, it was as simple as that." In archive clips shown by the documentary, Becks is seen gushing over his wife in TV interviews.
He told Ellen Degeneres: "She came to a football match — soccer match — and I said hi from across the room and that was it. I thought I'd missed my chance, and then a week later she turned up at another football match." And he told Jimmy Fallon: "We talked for about an hour in the players' lounge and then she actually got the train up that day, so she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have."
