BBC EastEnders viewers rumble buyer of George's bar and it's familiar face
George - played by Colin Salmon - returned to Walford on Monday night.
BBC EastEnders viewers have worked out the buyer of George's bar. George - played by Colin Salmon - returned to Walford on Monday night.
The character was back in Albert Square alongside his daughters Gina and Anna. George had some good news for Elaine about the bar in Marbella, where he had been staying recently on a break from Walford, trying to sort out the sale of the bar.
"I think she does anyway as the bar is still technically half hers or "Rose's" and I'm assuming George and "Rose" are still married right? # Eastenders " BBC soap fan Westie asked on Twitter, now X, as they speculated over the storyline development and potential for a plot twist.
"I love Elaine's relationship with Anna and Gina. Gina's had ex boyfriend problems in Spain and Linda's taken the kids to see Nancy. I wonder who the buyer is for George's bar. Imagine the twist if it was someone who lived/used to live on the square .... #Eastenders."
"Either a returning face or someone famous is going to buy it," said a second. A third chimed in too and told fellow fans of the soap: "I wonder if Sam and Cindy are running a bar together in Spain? We know that George's bar in Marbella was being sold. But is it really sold and is Sam working with Don like she claimed?"
On the soap this week, Cindy falls out with Nish, while Ian refuses to take any money from Phil. So, it seems the Beales have run out of potential investors for their pie and mash shop, until Anna lets slip that George has found a buyer for the pub in Marbella, and Cindy realises she's owed half of the proceeds.
To try to keep the negotiations civil, George invites Ian and Cindy over for dinner with him and Elaine, but the atmosphere changes when the landlord is left alone with his ex. Elsewhere, Billy is horrified to receive raunchy photos from Stacey, but she realises Theo is behind it. Martin loses it and starts hammering on the teacher's door, but Stacey thinks it's time to appeal to the community for help.
