The festival, which will take place on the late May bank holiday weekend, will see winners of the competition will each receive a slot on the dedicated stage, which was created to shine a light on the DJs of the future.

The competition is open to artists of all backgrounds and experience in the hopes of providing a platform for new talent to showcase their skills to a live audience.

Dave Clarke, Riverside Festival co-director, said: “Whether you DJ in a bar or club, play after-hours, keep the vibe flowing at late night flat parties, provide the best warm-up in town, or even mix tracks in your bedroom but haven’t yet played in public, this competition could be your big break.

“At Riverside Festival, it is extremely important for us to book international DJs – however, supporting local talent is equally important, as we want Scotland’s vibrant scene to grow and flourish. So, get your mixes in now, and next year you could be playing to one of the best crowds in the country.”
