Coatbridge musician Pete MacLeod to mark 10-year anniversary of debut album with headline show
Pete will take to the stage at Glasgow's Saint Luke's on December 27 to mark the milestone.
Acclaimed Coatbridge singer-songwriter Pete MacLeod is set to play a celebratory headline show marking 10 years since his debut album was first released.
Pete will take to the stage at Glasgow's Saint Luke's on December 27 to mark the milestone.
The musician will wow the audience with his instantly-recognisable brand of astute, melodic music, including titular album track Rolling Stone, which received strong support from BBC Radio Scotland, and 2020 UK Official Charts hit single Firing Line .
With his debut album also re-issued on limited edition gold vinyl earlier this year, Kirkwood man Pete says the upcoming gig provides the "perfect opportunity" to look back over his vast and varied career.
This has included supporting and touring with the likes of The Happy Mondays, Jesus and Mary Chain, Cast, Ocean Colour Scene, Shed Seven, Midge Ure, Amy Macdonald and The Strypes.
Pete told Lanarkshire Live: "The past 10 years have been an amazing journey.
"I’m really excited to perform in front of a home crowd in such a great venue. It will be a real night for celebration, so I can’t wait to get up on stage.
“I would also like to thank everyone for buying the gold vinyl edition of my debut album.
"It meant so much to me to be able to mark the milestone anniversary with such a special reissue.”
Raised in Coatbridge, Pete was heavily influenced by the music of Buddy Holly, The Beatles, John Lennon and The Rolling Stones.
He has been releasing music since the early 2000s, with a number of singles, EPs and albums issued on his own label.
