Origi could already be saying farewell to the City Ground after failing to score in the Premier League this term.

According to Gianluca Dimarzio, the Rossoneri are said to have received interest from MLS clubs for the 28-year-old.

Ahead of the upcoming MLS season which is set to begin February 22, Los Angeles FC, FC Dallas and Cincinnati are keen on the Belgian international, the report claims.

Origi returned to the English top flight in August after 13 months in Serie A.

The former Lille star was set to play for Forest for the whole season, with the option for the Reds to buy at the end of the campaign.

Former boss Steve Cooper hoped Origi would bring his knack of scoring important goals.

But there have not been any goals in his nine games and the Belgian has fallen out of favour with new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Origi spent eight years at Liverpool before being allowed to leave in the summer 2022 transfer window.

He was a cult hero at Anfield due to his knack of netting vital goals.

Origi most notably scored twice, including the winner, in the 2019 Champions League semi-final in a comeback against Barcelona.

He was also a part of the squad that won the 2019–20 Premier League the following season, Liverpool's first title in 30 years.
