Shane Lynch has accused Taylor Swift of performing 'demonic rituals' during her live tour. The nineties boyband star, who is best known for being a member of Boyzone, made the claims in a new interview.

Speaking to Sunday World, the 47-year-old born-again Christian took aim at Swift, who is arguably the biggest popstar in the world right now. He claims she's using her status to 'promote the devil' in her shows.

Swift is currently undergoing the Australian leg of her sell-out Eras Tour. The Cruel Summer singer, 34, will be heading to the UK this summer as part of the European leg of her tour.

Sharing his thoughts on the music industry, Lynch said: "I think when you’re looking at a lot of the artists out there, a lot of their stage shows are Satanic rituals live in front of 20,000 people without them realising and recognising. You’ll see a lot of hoods up and masks on and fire ceremonies.

"Even down to Taylor Swift – one of the biggest artists in the world – you watch one of her shows and she has two or three different demonic rituals to do with the pentagrams on the ground, to do with all sorts of stuff on her stage. But to a lot of people it’s just art and that’s how people are seeing it, unfortunately."

He went on to explain how that is the main reason he no longer listens to certain genres of music. "When it comes to a lot of the music that’s out there at the moment – more of the hip-hop side of things – there is a lot of hidden Satanic [imagery] and a lot of evil within them, including down to the beats. It’s very real," he claimed.

"Music attaches to your emotions. It has a connection to your spirit and how you feel." Lynch also shared similar beliefs during his appearance on Premier Christian Radio podcast last year, where is described other popstars, like Beyoncé and Sam Smith, "so demonic it’s unbelievable."

Taylor Swift’s representatives have been approached for comment.
