Taylor Wimpey West Scotland have given a boost to Share Alike in East Kilbride.

At the launch of its new development for sale at Jacktonhall, the homebuilder teamed up with the community group to donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed within the first phase of new homes at its Amble Court development.

The first tranche of £675 was donated by Taylor Wimpey West Scotland last month, and in total a grand sum of £5625 will be paid to Share Alike as work at the development progresses, signalling a long-term relationship between this important local community charity and Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.

Share Alike is a small community organisation run entirely by volunteers, which aims to encourage sharing and care to help alleviate poverty, loneliness, and waste. It has partnerships with local stores to collect surplus food and it also accepts donations of food, clothing, and small household items which they distribute to those in need.
