Lewis Hamilton has reportedly joined a celebrity dating app as he looks for love off the track, amid his worst ever start to a Formula One season.

The seven-time world champion retired from the Australian Grand Prix, meaning he has taken just eight points from the opening three races of the season.

Hamilton is already 43 points off the top of the standings in what is his final season for Mercedes before joining Ferrari in 2025.

Meanwhile off the track, The Sun have reported that he has split up with Brazilian model Juliana Nalu.

The 39-year-old as a result is claimed to have joined celebrity dating app Raya.

It's claimed that during his trip to Australia, the Mercedes star set his profile to 'visiting Melbourne from Monaco'.

Users of the app get a song to play over the top of their photos, with the Mercedes star selecting Drake's 'Search and Rescue,' while his occupation is set as 'travel'.

Hamilton dated former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger earlier in his career, and there had also been links to Shakira last year.

As reported by Marca, a select few are chosen to be part of an 'elite community' with the waiting list to join the dating app said to be in the 'thousands' and 'not even 10 per cent of those who apply get in'.

Nalu, who also previously dated rapper Kanye West, was spotted with Hamilton for a pre-New Year's Eve party back in December.

She also made an appearance in the Miami Grand Prix paddock last season when Hamilton was competing.

Mercedes had high hopes for this season after spending a big chunk of last year focusing on car improvements.

However, the early signs are not promising, particularly for Hamilton who has also been outperformed by team-mate George Russell.

After failing to make the final part of qualifying on Saturday, he said: 'The inconsistency in the car really messes with the mind. There is a long list of things to fix. Our car is on a knife-edge.'

His retirement the following day led Hamilton to opening up on his worst start to a season in his career.

He tried to remain optimistic after the race, as he said: 'I feel pretty good. I'm trying to keep things in perspective, you know, this like, could be so much worse.

'I'm really grateful. I've really enjoyed my time here in Australia, I'm still enjoying working with a team. Of course, I'd love to be fighting for wins and actually finishing races.

'It's never a great feeling when you come all this way, and you don't see even half of the race, but what I know is that we will bounce back, we will eventually get there, we just have to continue to chip away.'
