Séamus Power shot a final round 76 as Valspar Championship hopes vanished late last Sunday night. The 37 Year Old Waterford man entered the Final round two shots behind leader Keith Mitchell but it was not to be for Power as he endured a Sunday night to forget.

A final round Five over par dented any possibility for Power to gain his Third victory on the PGA Tour. Power struggled throughout the final 18 holes and a double- bogey five on the Par 3 13th hole crushed any chance he had.

Sèamus Power finished with a five over par round to finished tied for 25th place which earned him over $60,000. He was 9 shots behind the eventual winner Peter Malnati.

The 36 year old American was extremely emotional after his victory as last victory was over 9 years and 250 events later and his final round four under par gave him a two shot victory in the competition. American Cameron Young finished in second place on 10 under par, Canadian Mackenzie Hughes was tied for third alongside American Chandler Phillips.

Xander Schauffele tied the low round of the day with a six-under 65, but the limelight of the evening fell on the shoulders of American Peter Malnati as he will look to use this victory as a leap board going forward
