PS5 game prices are about to skyrocket - hundreds of essential titles getting an increase

Games like Final Fantasy 16, EA Sports FC and Assassin's Creed Mirage will increase by up to 80% in the coming days.

If you don't want to pay over the odds for some of the biggest and best and games, then you'd better act fast. Sony's Essential Picks promotion features discounts on hundreds of games, including hugely popular blockbusters like EA Sports FC 24, Final Fantasy 16, Assassin's Creed Mirage and Dead Island 2, not to mention cult hits like Disco Elysium, Katamari Damacy REROLL, Judgement and Overcooked. The Essential Picks promotion is coming to an end at 11.59pm GMT UK time on March 27. Once the sale comes to an end, prices for the games will skyrocket. The price of EA Sports FC 24 will increase by 80%, Final Fantasy 16 will go up by 40% and Dead Island 2 will shoot up by 45%.

Other great game discounts include RoboCop: Rogue City Deluxe Edition for £32.99, The Crew Motorfest (cross-gen) is £34.99, while Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is £26.99.

Elsewhere, Mortal Kombat 11 is £7.99, Riders Republic is £8.74, Far Cry 6 is £14.99, and Remnant 2 Deluxe Edition is £29.99.

Other fantastic bargains include Doom Eternal for £8.74, Outer Wilds is £11.99, the excellent Hot Wheels Unleashed is just £5.24, while Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is only £3.49.

Meanwhile, Cocoon is down to £13.99, Astro Bot Rescue Mission costs £17.49, Dishonored 2 is only £3.19, and Kingdom Hearts 3 is £21.99.

Personal recommendations include Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series for £11.24, Signalis for £11.19 and the Quake 1+2 Bundle for £4.79.

Speed-running first-person platform game Neon White is another game worth trying, especially for the reduced price of £11.99.

"Neon White is a lightning fast first-person action game about exterminating demons in Heaven," reads the official description.

"You are White, an assassin handpicked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven.

"The other assassins seem familiar, though… did you know them in a past life?"
