DONETSK, March 27. /TASS/. Ammunition disposal experts found and defused more than 2,000 explosive objects while examining fields near Mariupol, a bomb squad commander has told TASS.

"Our work is important, because we are helping people to return to peaceful life. Spring has begun, and we need to give people an opportunity to cultivate these agricultural lands. Therefore, were are now clearing them. Our group has already defused around 2,000 explosive objects," he said.

Most often, ammunition disposal experts come across unexploded artillery shells and rockets, as well as grenades and landmines, the serviceman added.

According to him, a similar effort is taking place in the city of Mariupol and its outskirts.
