South Korea's Coupang plans $2bn expansion of next-day delivery

E-commerce leader's robot-powered Rocket Delivery to reach 88% of the country

SEOUL -- Top South Korean online shopping group Coupang said Wednesday it will invest 3 trillion won ($2.22 billion) through 2027 to bring its fast Rocket Delivery service to more parts of the country.

Coupang plans eight huge fulfillment centers equipped with labor-saving robots in the southeastern city of Busan, Gwangju in the southwest and other locations.
