A stalker moved “around the corner” from his victim, tried to apply to the same gym as her and even bought the same dog and car as her, a court was told.

Martin Gunn, 51, met the victim on the Hinge dating app in March 2023 and started stalking her after just a few dates.

He sent numerous unwanted letters and emails and repeatedly went to the woman’s home address, child’s school, place of work and gym.

Chad Echakowitz, for the prosecution, said: “They only went on a few dates together and the relationship was only minorly intimate, some kissing.
