Times Radio shows and Times podcasts have scored a record haul of ten nominations at the Arias, the Oscars of the audio industry.

Times Radio has been shortlisted seven times for the awards, organised by the Radio Academy, with a further three for the recently rebranded daily podcast The Story.

The radio station, which launched in June 2020, landed the maximum of three possible spots in the best speech presenter category.

Hugo Rifkind, Matt Chorley, and Jane Garvey and Fi Glover will compete against six other hosts including the historian Dan Snow and the BBC’s Jeremy Vine and Marianna Spring.

Times Radio’s breakfast programme has been shortlisted in the best speech breakfast show alongside BBC Radio 4’s Today, BBC Radio 5 Live and TalkSport.
